How long does it take to build a custom home?
A true luxury custom estate typically requires 18-24 months from ground breaking to move-in. This timeline allows for the meticulous craftsmanship required for high-end finishes. However, the pre-construction phase (architectural design, city permitting, and HOA review) can add 6-12 months prior to construction. We streamline this by getting involved early to manage feasibility alongside your architect.
Do you help evaluate hillside lots before we purchase?
Absolutely. In fact, we highly recommend it. Paradise Valley and Scottsdale have complex hillside ordinances, drainage requirements, and building envelopes. We provide a complimentary site feasibility review to help you understand the potential costs of site work (retaining walls, cut/fill) before you commit to the land.
We live out of state part of the year. How is communication handled?
Many of our clients have primary residences elsewhere. We utilize a cloud-based project management portal that provides you with 24/7 access to your project schedule, daily photo logs, and financial tracking. Additionally, we hold weekly video conference updates so you can walk the site with us virtually, ensuring you are always connected to the progress of your estate.
Do you handle the architectural design and permitting?
We operate primarily as a builder who works in tandem with your architect and interior designer. However, we advocate for a "Design-Assist" model where we are hired early in the design phase. This allows us to provide real-time pricing feedback and constructability analysis to the design team, ensuring your stunning architectural vision remains within your desired investment range.
How do you handle warranty and post-completion support?
Our relationship doesn't end when we hand over the keys. We provide a comprehensive "White Glove" warranty program. We schedule proactive walkthroughs at 30 days, 6 months, and 1 year to address any settling or adjustments needed. We also provide a detailed digital home manual with all warranties and maintenance schedules for your estate's systems.
