This depends entirely on the scope. for kitchen or master suite remodels, yes—we utilize medical-grade dust barriers and negative air pressure systems to isolate the work zone from your living quarters. However, for whole-home transformations involving structural changes or flooring replacement throughout, we often recommend temporary relocation to ensure the project moves faster and your daily life isn't disrupted by noise and utility shut-offs.
How do you prevent cost overruns on older homes?
The "money pit" scenario usually happens when builders guess what is behind the walls. We don't guess. During our feasibility phase, we often perform targeted destructive testing (opening small sections of drywall) to verify plumbing locations, load-bearing headers, and electrical conditions before we finalize your contract. This allows us to give you a fixed scope based on reality, not assumptions.
Do I need to hire an architect before calling you?
You can, but we recommend contacting us first or simultaneously. We can refer you to architects and interior designers we trust who specialize in the specific style you are looking for (Modern, Mediterranean, etc.). More importantly, by bringing us in during the design phase, we can ensure the plans being drawn actually fit your target budget, preventing the need for expensive redesigns later.
How long does a luxury whole-home remodel take?
A typical extensive renovation takes between 6 to 12 months. While this is significantly faster than the 24 months required for a ground-up new build, it requires intense coordination. The timeline is largely driven by the "finishes"—cabinetry, imported stone, and windows often have long lead times. We order these long-lead items early to ensure that once demolition starts, we never stop moving.
Do you handle HOA approvals in Paradise Valley/Scottsdale?
Yes. Exterior renovations in gated communities or municipalities like Paradise Valley often trigger strict review processes regarding ridge heights, setbacks, and materials. We have deep experience navigating these boards. We handle the submission packets, attend the review meetings, and manage the city permitting process so you don't have to deal with the red tape.
